Life now with DoorLoop is great. It's less stressful. I love knowing that my tenants have the ability to log into their tenant portal and handle anything they need. Honestly, they can put in their maintenance requests, they can pay their rents, they can even view their leases if they'd like.
My name is Jessica Mekal. Our company is located in Western Massachusetts and we manage residential and commercial properties. I kind of fell into the position. I was going to college and I was getting my business degree and I was looking for a business job and a local company in the area was hiring, and I was able to get into there. Before DoorLoop, I was using just Google Drive. I was making folders in Google Drive. I was using the Excel sheets and the Google Docs in there. DoorLoop is different than other property management software companies because they created a very, very easy transition in the beginning. They actually take all the information that you have and they'll input it right into the system for you. So when you actually start using the system, you're ready to go right then and there. The customer service, it was amazing.
I was actually talking to a live person right away after I scheduled a demo, and they were always very, very responsive. On a scale of one to 10, I would give DoorLoop's customer support definitely a 10. They are always so responsive and very quick with helping me out with anything I need. Using DoorLoop saves me about probably 10 hours or more a week. My favorite DoorLoop feature is definitely the app on our phone, it allows a lot of convenience, especially when I'm out on the properties. If I ever run into a tenant, I'm able to confirm all of their information, live right there, and then also even look at their lease agreement, their ledger, everything right then and there at my fingertips. One piece of advice that I have is to definitely find a software or a platform that is able to automate things for you, that will save you a lot of time in the long run.
