What is nice about DoorLoop is that you can customize it to make it for what you want to utilize it for.

My name is Becky Emmons. My husband and I own Holstein Homes and it's in northeast Ohio. We own and manage rental properties as well as we buy rehab and resell homes locally. Currently, right now, we have 16 active rental properties.

So my husband and I both have full-time jobs and we're kind of getting burnt out in the day-to-day corporate life. After listening to a few different podcasts and kind of researching in regards to rental properties and real estate, we decided to buy our first rental property.

Before DoorLoop, it was just a variety of different ways that we were trying to collect rent. One of the things we found is come the first of the month, of course your mortgages are going to come out, but your rent isn't always going to come in when you have a lot of different variety of ways that you're collecting rent.

One of our tenants in a property locally, she was a property manager through another small apartment complex locally. She had heard of DoorLoop, and so we were just talking with her random conversation and she had mentioned it. We decided to take a look into it.

We decided to switch to a rental software, DoorLoop, because it was getting a little cumbersome and confusing for us as we were starting to add additional rental properties to our portfolio of the different ways that our tenants were paying us. Some were paying checks, some would pay cash, some would use apps to send us rent. And to be able to put it all into a single system and really have the process be one was really helpful for us to be able to just kind of make it a streamlined process really. And since then, all of our tenants, by adding this feature, they really have appreciated it because it's one-stop shop for them as well.

If I have a question, I just shoot them a chat within the system and they are so quick to respond and bring somebody else in, or they'll just log into your system, you give them access, and be able to tweak or show you where things are at to answer the question that you have. But incredibly responsive. They really have worked really well in their customer service.

I would definitely recommend DoorLoop to others. The ease of use as you as the landlord and the ease of use for your tenants to be able to have one specific standard system for them that they know the software that they are using to pay their rent. We've found that utilizing a software to collect rent, to be able to charge utilities, to be able to screen tenants on the front end has been very helpful for us.
